  • Happy Birthday FlightLine!!

Between the AMA magazine featuring the F7F Tigercat and the mention in the article of it being one year, I thought I'd see what day it actually was when the R/C Industry was sat on its posterior and FlightLine was born. January 11, 2016 was the day everything changed, this time, for the better!! Can you believe that it's only been a year? Now, I'll bet you there are few of us that haven't purchased at least one FlightLine R/C airplane or are just itching to get one when funds become available.
So Happy Birthday FlightLine, what a success story, congrats to the guys and gals at Motion R/C.
If was great to see FMS and Horizon have to back off on the planned price increase and feel the burn of competition!!
Sound off if you own one, or just how many do you have??
    One Here!!

It's funny, I bought the P-38 before I even started flying.

I think I have all the Fliteline birds.

I hear you, I did the same when I bought my first airplane, an FMS P-51!

We just counting FlightLineRC and not Freewing? There are a total of 8 FlightLineRC planes by my count not counting two P-38's. Not bad for only one year!
        If that's the case I have five. 1-P-38, 2-Bearcats and 2-Tigercats.

        FlightLineRC La-7 1100mm

        FlightLineRC Hawker Sea Fury 1200mm

        FlightLineRC FW-190 V2 1120mm

        FlightLineRC Spitfire Mk.IX 1200mm

        FlightLineRC P-38L Lightning 1600mm

        FlightLineRC Focke-Wulf Ta 152H 1300mm

        FlightLineRC F8F-1 Bearcat 1200mm

        FlightLineRC F7F-3 Tigercat 1600mm

What about the La-7 and the Sea Fury? That would make 8 aircraft, or 9 "offerings" so to speak. Not too shabby in 12 months. I have the Sea Fury, 3 Spitfires (both original liveries and a custom set of Graphics from Callie), a Silver 38, and had a Bearcat that I destroyed after 18 seconds on the maiden. Still shaking my head on that one. Love the 1200 Spitty - what a predator. Now a 1600, you must be kidding. Gonna need a separate storage building just for Spitfires ;)

You're right. I missed those two. Corrected my above post.

I've been going over the La-7 manual and spent three hours last night just trying to decipher what the heck the introduction/history of the airplane is saying. Finally ended up looking up the facts on the La-7 and rewrote a bunch of it. Out of all the FlightLine manuals, this is the last and strangest one so far and I'm not even off the first page!
Hope you all get a chance to read over these updated manuals when Motion gets them up and replaces the existing ones. I'll tell you, the more I get involved with the manuals, the more I realize what a great line of airplanes this is. Guess if the Chinglish is the only thing we can fault, that is really awesome!!

Well when are they going to fix the webpage on the Tigercat and stop calling the gear doors "cabin doors"! I sent an email to MRC about this but I guess it's too minor to worry about. Who's the webmaster?

Probably because they are big enough to smuggle a small mouse in. Lol :D

Hey Beeg, the Tigercat was one of the first things I tackled and they have the updated version, so I'm assuming it will be changed shortly. FYI, have have just completed the La-7, if you want to read a confusing intro, have a look at this one. Just sent it off to Alpha with an updated , historically accurate intro.
That makes all the FlightLine airplane manuals done. A long process, but that's 7 manuals!

I have been purchasing FlghtLine since Motion carried this brand. I have never been disappointed with one, and if there are issues, Motion takes care of them timely. I am not sure how I found Motion, but I know I was on of their first customers.
