Greetings Gang,
I own about 20 electric planes ranging from 800mm to 1600mm of various types which I have been flying for about 4 years, and an Alpha 40 Glow/nitro trainer.
I have flown the Alpha for about two years now off and on (mostly to silence the electric plane haters) but, I mainly fly and prefer the electrics.
I've been thinking lately of obtaining another glow plane (sometimes I just want to fly something that makes some noise) but was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a stable, solid flying 2nd plane but obviously not another trainer. (I already own as Electrifly Stik and I only say that because most folks tend to recommend the 'Stik' as an excellent 2nd Glow plane).
My friends at the field are recommending the Great Planes 'U Can Do'. This is a 3D plane basically (which I have no interest in flying 3D) but they say it's also a very stable flyer on low rates. Honestly, it looks way too agressive compared to anything I've flown.
Anyway, I'm not looking for feedback on the 'U Can Do' (unless you agree it would make good 2nd glow plane), but alternatives for consideration.
Hope some of this makes sense,
Bill L.
