  • Next Flightline RC model ???

Found this posted on the RC Groups site, speculation is that it might be the next Flightline 1200 model

Not being able to read Chinese I am hopeful someone can shed light on this, it is a 1200mm wingspan. Would be great if it was a P40 by Flighline

    Please, make it so......

I'm not sure what that is, but it doesn't quite look like a P-40.. Short gear, looks like it retracts inboard, different chin scoop, different fuselage shape. Can anyone identify what it is? Here's a few screenshots to analyze..

Who else makes rc planes in the 1200mm size?

I agree, I have one in the FMS 980 and also one in the FMS 1400 version. Do not need another one.

1200mm, wrong retracts, no flaps, no real resemblance to an actual P-40 ........................... Seems like "fake news". This one is just as likely to be the next Flightline P-40 ........................ :Clown:

            Hello DonR,
Looks like an attempt on the P-46 but with a grossly enlarged lower cowl cooler.
British were gonna buy it as a replacement to the P-40.

The Chinese is not very illuminating....just says that a test pilot named Yong is taking it on a maiden flight.

If you put the title into a translator it comes up with many different words. If I did it correctly this is a homemade P-40 Maiden Flight

Durafly warbirds were usually 1100m, a few exceptions but the ones made by FMS were 1100. However Avios does make their warbirds in a 1200 series, I forgot, I thought they were the same size as most of the Durafly in the 1100 series size. You might possibly be onto something with the Avios line.

Then again why would Hobbyking release a 1200 version plane when they have already released a 1100m version in their Durafly line?

Thats what I got as well, It said "Super Master Hand Made 1200mm P-40" If that is right, they have a very loose definition of "Master" and "P-40" Hahahaha

For "hand made", it doesn't look so bad. If that was a commercially made prototype, it's junk. Flightline would be (or should be) embarrassed to put out something like that, even painted.

On the RC Groups site, one of the members thinks that the flyer is the test pilot who works for the group that includes Freewing which of course is Flightline.

So perhaps it is a P36 or a Yak.

Anyway, will have to wait and see.

I am pulling for a big, beautiful, fantastic, incredible, gorgeous, awesome C-130. I would have to have it. An AC-130H Spectre or AC-130U Spooky would be a must have.
