Re: Adds on the forum ????

    Greetings,

    Indeed!
These seem to have appeared most recently and I find them extremely annoying!!
They are huge and totally irrelavent!!
I am hopeful that MRC will realize their mistake in allowing/aligning with the ads.

They certainly do not entice me into to buying anything and do little more than slow their system down, which is already marginal at best.

Come on MRC let's go back to the way things were which made you better than the others.
    Don't conform, stay the course.

If the ads stay, I'm gone.

I too will go else where . Not something I would do gladly , I really like MRC and the way they treat us . I feel that we as customers are more than money , but I will go other places to spend my $$ .

Re: Adds on the forum ????

I agree totally irritating and useless. I'm on the Motion forum site because I'm into rc flying and there is good information about our hobby. I don't need to be bombarded by ads from other companies. Motion Rc you have been great when it comes to products and customer service, don't go to the dark side.

What really bothered me was if you click on remove adds you can pay to have them removed . That puts a bad taste in my mouth . I'm here because MRC is a true Hobby co. Are they becoming too big to care or worry about what we think ????? I just had a add for a Asian dating website WTF

I too am very irritated by ads and those ads have nothing to do with RC products which make it even worse. This is not a positive move. Anyone that has purchased sufficient products should not have to pay to have ads removed. Very disappointed in MRC's decision. <smiley image="smiley_angry.gif"/>

The guys at MotionRC are the best, and everyone knows it.
How about we ignore the adds and let the guys make some more money. I think they deserve it.
The MotionRC guys have our best interest at heart, because they are essentially RC enthusiasts like you and me.
How about we have their best interests at heart?

Re: Adds on the forum ????

                Greetings Gang,

I agree that MRC has every right to make a buck... That is Capitalism, That's the free enterprise system.

However, if we are to be inundated with ad's within the forum, there is nothing wrong in asking for them to be at least relavent in subject matter...... which I suppose in itself would obviously make it counter productive on the part of MRC to run ads for competitors.

Indeed, like others here on this RC HOBBY forum, I participate for the community and comradere of fellow hobbiest's. Where else am I going to meet a guy who flew a plane into a corn field!!! That's what makes the forum awesome!!
I am NOT interested in a subscription to an Asian dating service! Neither is my young son who also enjoys reading the forum posts!!

I remain a big fan of MRC and I will continue to shop with them "and let the guys make some more money". In all honesty however, if the ads within the forum remain, I will be left no choice but to treat this forum site that I enjoy like a bad, inappropriate TV Show... I will simply change the channel.

There are few high-support minded companies left like MRC, and I believe we have their best interests at heart every time we cut <i>them</i> a check instead of someone else, and That gives us the right to speak out when we feel that our community is threatened and something precious to our hobby might be in jeopardy.

                Hoping for the best,

                Bill L.

                  Forum users,
The Ads were a temporary glitch in our forum software. The software has been updated and the Ads are gone. Sorry for the inconvenience, and please rest assured Motion RC's forum will always be Ad Free.

                  Regards,

                  Mark
