TiredIronGRB's L-4 Carbon Cub Build

I've always wanted to take a Carbon Cub and convert it to a L-4 Grasshopper but just hated to buy a new one to convert,I found a very nice Carbon Cub at Joe Nall for $180 so I pulled the nose cone and put a different prop on it. Then I found a scale set of engine halves in a box of junk parts so I whittled off the nose and trimmed them to fit. Next I'll work on the rudder and a few other non-scale areas then paint it..

Built suspension from some springs and FW-190 parts, exhaust pipe is a gun barrel from an old FMS P-47. Got it painted and now waiting on Callie for the invasion stripes and other graphics. Windows are Rustoleum silver.

I got my Cub second hand and very well used, I fixed a few things when I converted to an L-4 Grasshopper but left the landing gear alone even though it was pretty floppy. After a couple hundred more flights I decided to make a new setup like I do on my smaller Cubs.
