Freewing AT-6 Texan flaps

I have flown the AT-6 Texan several times and decided to add flaps to slow plane for landing.

Couple of questions:

- do flaps slow plane during rollout? My landings are OK but plane is still travelling pretty fast during rollout.

- where to cut wing(s) for flaps (manual no help)

Flaps lower your stall speed, ie you can fly slower before the plane stalls, & I'm sure you can 'do the math' from there.

Can't speak for the location - my AT-6 is by Dynam & I think had pre-cuts. Generally, from the inboard aileron tips to the root of the wing where the walkway is, ie where the wing joins that root section. Looking at the wing itself it should be almost intuitive. I can't remember if there's a small intervening strip between the ail & the flap, but I don't think there is. Easy to Goog up pix of the real one, tho - have at it.

I have a dynam at6 trying to find out how to add flaps to it somebody please help me out??

Here is how I did the flaps on my Freewing Texan




Dont cut all the way through the foam, that way you can use the foam as the hinge
