I know I'm not very smart about the requirements of things , but MRC has the ability to put demo videos on . What would it take for us to do the same ? I think it might would become popular . Just a thought .

    Re: Posting a video

    Greetings,

Well, I think being able to post videos would be awesome.
Like many others, I've posted photos but, when it comes to video all I've only put up are links to like Youtube videos.

If you'll note the "Embed" button above, that is what allows for the insertion of videos to your posts.
    But, I've never tried it.

        Re: Posting a video

        Greetings Hippie64,

        PERFECT!!

Way to get the ball rolling with video uploads.... Looks like we're on our way.
Kudo's to your wife as she never missed a beat!! She had you centered all the way on your great flight and greased landing.

Now, you have to please teach us/provide a procedure on how we can all upload as well.

              Re: Posting a video

The huge increase in storage requirements for the site's host might raise Motion RC's hosting expense. Could get out of control. Just sayin.

                Re: Posting a video

                Greetings 30MM,

I agree that too much of a good thing may tend to bite us in the long term.
Perhaps we ( meaning any who chooses to post a video ) can use an honor system where we agree to delete our posted videos after a certain period of time (say 30 days) thereby never allowing a ton of older posts to linger and consume unecessary storage.

I must admit I do enjoy putting a plane with a cyber name which the videos provide us.

I will say that I found using the Vimeo works well and I can send to anyone one I choose . The good thing with them is it only allows members or who you send to viewing options .

                    Re: Posting a video

                    Greetings H64,

Indeed, that makes a lot more sense as Vimeo is only a hosting sight (like Youtube) and all we need to do, once we've joined and uploaded our video to Vimeo, is simply provide a link to view it. There is no burden to MRC's hosting of this forum site or danger of bogging down the system due to shortages in capacity. It's all totally in the cloud, so to speak.

Well, in my mind it can't get much simpler or non-intrusive than that.
Personally, I can't wait to get out this weekend with the old Go-Pro and start recording.

Kudo's H64 for helping us break new ground. That's what these forums are all about!!!
Almost everytime I visit I learn a bit more.

                    Clear Skies and happy videoing

One tip - PLEASE keep 'em to around 5 minutes max. Research has shown (if viewing them yourself hasn't already proven it multiple times!) that over 5 it gets boring - no matter <i>how</i> good it is.
YMMV, but that's the facts, Jack! <smiley image="smiley_beam.gif"/>

And it's never a bad idea to glance behind once in a while....... just to be sure.... especially when ordering....... He, He..
