I acquired two mint barely ran K&B .40 baffle engines.
These engines are pretty mellow from idle to 3/4 throttle, once WOT they scream and I mean super loud. I rarely fly wot and only if taking off and way up in the sky, so sound is not an issue. They run great and never shutdown. They only issue is the needle does not have a stopper, similar to a pen metal clip/pin, only a silly spring to give some resistance. The vibration is too much and the H needle tends to float a little.
Any recommendations?
I tried a stiffer spring and then the carb will barely open, too much resistance overworking the throttle servo.
Here are some pics... a friend at the field told me to ditch it and buy a new engine, its just they run so strong and have plenty of power...
