  • My Dynam first impression

I ordered a Grand Cruiser and got it on Tuesday . Thanks for fast shipping MRC . As much as I like the Warbirds I really like this style .The twins and low wing I think is very stream line and "real" looking to me .Boxed great no problems , extra props I ordered were inside .
Spent most of the night decaling , assembling , and modifying . I'm spoiled by FMS and Freewing !! The plane is well built but there are a few things to make it better.
The cowls are held on by some kind of double sided thin tape . This is awful , they are hard to work with when you need to get them back off . I cleaned all that off and sunk in a couple of magnets for better removal and replacement of the cowls .
I like having the lights but they are just wires . No connectors of any type .They could have put connectors on with little effort .
The magnets holding on the wire trough covers all came loose . Not that big a deal just reglued the way it needed to be.
Mine came with a bent motor shaft , out of stock but that's ok I'll get a email when back in . Hopefully they will replace the motor will much simpler than trying to remove and replace the shaft. Since both are out of stock makes me wonder if it has been a issue .
I do not like the way you install and connect the battery !! They canopy should be changed to remove and install from the top . I'm not a fan of laying my plane upside down on ground or pavement to mess with battery . That was almost a deal breaker for me .
Came with the hinges but no horns to glue on the flaps , if you choose to use . But like most of us I had a few spares laying around .
I do really like the plane but there are a few things that could make it much better .

    Hey Hippie,
The GC is very fun to fly, and like you said, it looks realistic especially in the air. Watch out for those flap hinges they provide. I installed them and proceeded to set the horn and found out those knife type hinges will not work, the pivot point is such that any place you install the horn will not provide any travel. I had to rip mine off and use flat hinges instead. Dynam may have changed this since then, but be aware before you install those babies.
