        Re: My hanger

Yea I like that grass lawn. It must be centipede like mine but my yard soil is really sandy and too dry for a nice lawn. I rather save the sprinker money for a RC plane. Do you have an irrigation system ? I wish our grass airfield was as nice but not complaining at least it is good enough to use this time of the year. Anyone that has a paved runway is very lucky.

Thanks guys for the compliments . No irrigation just rain , lots and lots of rain . I have 7 or 8 lane running track that's around the field , high school practice field , that I'm going to try soon . I wish my club was closer but I do what I can with what I have . I'm really wanting to try the Grand Cruiser but not sure what to expect yet . Hoping I can take off n land on the grass at the school . Its like a putting green so I think it will work . Any tips please fling them my way !! Hope all had a great holiday weekend .

            Hey Hippie,
Your GC does not take a lot of runway for take off or landing at full flaps, grass is questionable but possible if it is putting green smooth. Nice grass by the way, everyones lawn in CA is brown or dead due to the severe drought we are having. It has been a good weekend for flying at my favorite fields since a lot of people are away for the Holiday. Im curious, did you have any problems with those flap hinges?

              Re: My hanger

Not as of yet . I had them on before I saw your msg. about them . I found that adding extra tension on the rod by forcing the rod thru really tight helps keep them moving ok . Not saying what may happen when I put her in the air still holding my breath on that one . Rest assured I will switch them if I see anything I don't like .
CT are the platforms the gear is screwed to down sturdy enough ? I'm wondering if that is where I may have a failure on grass . Seem good for a hard surface just hoping the same for low grass . If you saw the one video of taking off you can seen the grass is great .

Thanks Baron but it is Zoysia . Think I spelled it or least came close to right . It's very soft and nice but when fall and winter hits it turns brown and stays until spring then comes back slow . It does like the Centipede and spreads .
