  • Dynam Grand Cruiser Nose Gear E-Retract

Does anyone know if there is a time delay built into this retract? When I throw the gear switch on my transmitter there's about a 10 second delay before the gear actuates. This happens in both directions. Also there is no programming with in the transmitter that would cause this.

    Thanks

Forgot to ask... If there is a delay built into the gear is there a way to deactivate it?

Greetings Mike. I don't know if this plane has sequencing gear doors but that could cause this. Your best bet is to correspond with MotionRC. They can explain what they know and guide you in resolving the issue.

      Good luck

The only delay I ever had was using a servo tester . Flip my switch and all gear goes .
But thinking back I may have had a small issue and checking the plug on the three way wire seems to fix it . It wasn't snapped in good , I pulled apart then back together and all was good . Can't have a delay when all gear are on one direct three . For it to delay it would have to route thru a sequencer of some type I believe . Let me know what you find .

Re: Dynam Grand Cruiser Nose Gear E-Retract

            Thanks everyone for the responses,
I did find out from Motion RC support that there is no delay built into the nose gear. It's is acting very odd never the less. I can throw the gear switch and count 10 - 13 seconds before the gear actuates but it is not consistent. It may do that a few times consecutively then it will start working normally. I guess I better just replace it to be safe.

Another thing is make sure your using a good battery . I think that's what was giving me that issue with my servo tester
Try disconnecting the two main gear and switch the front one by its self . If its fine then your having a power problem . But be sure to check connections are tightly snapped.

Re: Dynam Grand Cruiser Nose Gear E-Retract

I had the GrandCruiser for about 2 years before it had an untimely connection with the ground but when she was alive and well she flew great. Anyway I did, from time to time have an issue with one of the gear not working properly or sticking. I found it was either the connected was coming loose or the wire harness was bad. Had the same issue with my Dynam ME262, bad wire harness out the box. Switched it out and no more problems. Hope this helps.
