Has anyone installed the Admiral 3 axis stability receiver in the 70mm F104? The servo leads are so short it won't fit anywhere but right in front of the battery. The receiver might get crushed on a hard landing.

Welcome to Hobbysquawk Willie-san. The wires are a bit short no matter what receiver is used ;). I placed a Lemon RX feather lite 6 channel end pin on the foam shelf forward of the battery tray without adding extensions. Not stabilized but I think they make one. The end pin set up comes in handy sometimes. You could probably notch out some of that forward foam if necessary for the receiver also. A sheet styrene battery barrier might be an option as well.
