  • FMS Hawk Red Arrow Cockpit Camera Mount Project

I’ve been doing fuselage mounted camera views and have done cockpit views in somewhat “half assed” attempts but I figured I’d try and make this kinda snazzy and for ease of use in the future. Here’s a “making due” attempt at a streamlined hatch for my FMS Hawk Red Arrow

-outline and cut section (never learn my lesson... cut twice measured once...)
    -add hinges
-get stumped on how to clear hatch opening AND raise the camera to clear the instrument panel
    -cardboard to the rescue
-add lots of glue and tape
    -Velcro
-figure out how to keep it locked in place (was gonna do a servo horn but decided cross pin would suffice)
-bend pin (thanks Freewing for the long rod)
    -op test

I cant seem to get the video to work correctly but i'll add it into the comment

That looks neat. Are you using a Mobius or RunCam?

I’m using a RunCam2. Ive been thinking about getting a mobius mini but I like the ability to download videos onto my phone on the fly.

Video upload isn’t working for me so here’s a screenshot of the cockpit view.

That's cool! I'm doing something similar with my Freewing 70mm F-16.

Pictures of the servo cam. It’s on my right knob on aux3 and also mixed in with rudder
