Thanks for playing, gentlemen and lady.

            Project Foil, unveiled...

            The two-part answer key:

            1) A Foil is a type of dueling sword, generally akin to a Rapier in proportion and usage (precise stabbing versus wild slashing). So, a precision weapon system. "Rapier" was the original designation for a precision weapon system that eventually became the F-22 Raptor. Thus, Project Foil = F-22 Raptor.
            2) Thin foil made of aluminum is often used as a countermeasure against radar. Thus, Foil = Radar avoiding aircraft = F-22 Raptor.

A precision weapon, that can avoid radar, that was originally called a Rapier (gotta know your aviation history), can only be an F-22.... easy, right? :Silly:

I have a plane that flies just like that - the LX version. But I'm liking the landing gear setup.

Thanks, guys, we're proud of it. Matching the scale shapes of the real F-22, while still making it a practical performer on grass runways and with a modern power system and level of fit and finish, was a challenge. In these primary categories, it's lightyears beyond the LX F-22, in the same way our A-10 is ahead of the old LX A-10 and Freewing's own 64mm A-10, in the same way our L-39 is ahead of the old HTG L-39.

Scale fidelity, grass performance, ducting design, PNP power system options, flight envelope, wing loading, top speed and stall speed threshold, ease of assembly, battery hatch access, component quality and hardware, 3DPUP customizability, surface finish, spare parts availability and service.... the Freewing 90mm F-22 is second to none.

Remember last month when I told everyone to fly the 80mm L-39 before they judged it by its color? And then basically everyone came back and said "Yep, it's awesome"? I'll parrot myself and say the same thing with Foil: Nothing is more smooth and friendly yet more excitingly agile in the 90mm category.
