RE: Freewing A-4 Skyhawk 80 or 90mm Fan
Hi Tom,Originally posted by Tom.MotionRCnoted! We also love the A4
Could you ask for Freewing to make the "E" model (no avionics hump) ?
Also, do you think they could include the AJB-3A low altitude bombing system or
would that be cost prohibitive ? :D
Thank you sir !If your pack's not swellin, you're not gellin ...

No hump! What! Just kidding. The hump is a bit of an iconic trait. Looks great either way I suppose. If I had to choose, I'd have to go for the hump. Sorry...lolOriginally posted by The HuffHi Tom,Originally posted by Tom.MotionRCnoted! We also love the A4

I'd love a two seater as well. Trained in those back in 1990. Would bring back some great memories.Originally posted by coot83 View PostRE: Freewing A-4 Skyhawk 80 or 90mm Fan
I like the look of this two seater.* I also think for a single seat that the hump looks more interesting for this aircraft.*

They could probably pull off pleasing everyone by just making interchangeable canopy modules. One canopy for the single seat A-4 and another for the two seater TA-4 ....
I grew up near NAS Oceana and had both models flying overhead (just a few hundred feet) daily. Got to see F-4's, F-14's, A-6's, EA-6's, RA-5C's, and the occasional A-3D "whale" too. I love jet noise !
They nicknamed the A-3D "All Three Dead" because of the lack of ejection seats .... O,OIf your pack's not swellin, you're not gellin ...

I was attached to an A-6 squadron at Oceana in the 70's. The air base was open for business 365 days a year/24 hrs a day and no matter where you were whether it was Dam Neck or Little Creek or VA Beach you always heard and saw Navy jets. It was then and still is today the Navy's east coast master jet base. I have no doubt that the noise grew on a ya!Originally posted by The Huff View PostI grew up near NAS Oceana and had both models flying overhead (just a few hundred feet) daily. My very first jet was a Bob Violet A-4 Skyhawk back in the late 70's and I have been looking for a good EDF made from EPO foam in a 90mm size but there just isn't anything out there. If Freewing were to make one I would be all over it as well. Please, please, PLEASE! With Blue Angels option.
