  • A6 Intruder 80mm EDF Landing Speed And wheel bounce.

Has anyone been able to tackle the landing speed of this bird? I have attempted to barn door the flaps, and leveled out the CG to as neutral as possible. But it just doesn't want to slow down. Using recommended 4000mah 6s batt. Concerned about putting this heavy plane into a high AOA. Foamies don't crash well.

Second issue is wheel bounce. It seems that the bounce is pretty bad. I have greased it in a few times, but even the most perfect of landings produce an unwanted front wheel hopping.
Has anyone been able to tackle this problem??

BTW: I am landing on a paved runway.

Can't really comment on the speed as landing speed is kind of relative to each pilot and the planes configuration at the time, wind speeds, etc. But I do know from experience with the A6 is that it does not like 3 point landings or nose heavy landings. I have bent a couple nose gear shafts due to this and now try to land mains first and keep the nose up as long as I can. That being said, I fly it with a 5000mah so I have to be even more careful with the nose.

I would post this on the A6 page if you haven't already. Hope this helps!
