Need help for f-8 crusaders landing gear

hi I’m new in Rc EDF jet
and just done stupid things with my
Freewing F-8 Crusaders Lansing gear
see pictures need every ideas to help

Mounted it to a ply plate that doesn't quite fit?

If that is what is going on,

you can carefully carve foam to allow you to inset the plate.
Then carve the piece you removed to go on "top" (from that view) of the ply plate.
Glue the plywood to the foam and foam to foam with Gorilla foaming glue and use pieces of toothpick punched in to pin the pieces in place.
Use flush cutting side cutters to cut the toothpicks flush with the foam surface.
Shave off any foaming glue that expands into places you don't want it.
and paint to hide the joint
