  • Su-35 Repaint

i want to do are paint on my Su. I know it’s made from eps foam. Can you recommend a primer that is safe to use on this plane. Watch I’ll do this and Freewing will come out with 80 mm Su.

I have been painting foam models with household latex paint. For primer a light or medium gray flat color works well. Been using an inexpensive airbrush from Harbor Freight tools, it works great for latex paint. Thin the paint with water to the consistency of milk adjust thinning as needed. Nothing here that will eat(dissolve) the foam. After spraying on primer color and allowing to dry overnight sand with fine sand paper. Paint to desired paint scheme with latex paint. I like latex paint since it flexes with the foam, avoids cracking. Home Depot will mix and match a wide variety colors in a sample lot. Plenty to do a model and left over paint for touch ups.Try it you might like it.
