    Hello

I crashed my yak 130 6s and i need a new 70mm edf, i have some HD 6s3300 lipos that i want to use as i do not want to buy new batteries right now.

I try to decide between the hawk and the f16, and im not sure what to get.

Which one will work better with my lipos? if you have flown both, which do you prefer and why.

Thank you and happy new year

Welcome to Hobby Squawk! The BAE Hawk is an awesome 70mm airframe.

PD, Just want to give you a Hearty Welcome to Hobby Squawk. Whatever advice you receive from TiredIronGRB is great advice. And don't forget to post pictures of your new airframe. Best, LB

I have both. Multiples of both. Slight edge to F-16, but very slight.

          Thank you all!!

My lipos are on the heavy side, as i read i think that the bae has more room for batteries so i think i can use those without lead on the back. Not sure on the F16.

Can i use the fms edf as a direct fit if i order an arf+ version? I see that the mount in the edf are not equal on both

The F-16 is easier to fit batteries in. The Yak is limited how far back you can move them.

I explain myself wrong, i crashed a fms yak130 so thats why im looking for a new edf.

Evan D the f16 has more room than the hawk to fit the batteries? What batteries do you use on the F16 and the Hawk.

              My lipos weight 565 grs

I have three different ones. Zippy compact 3700 that’s 500g and I use them in the Yak and F-16, then a hobby star 3500 that’s a little lighter at 445g. In the F-16 I also use a hobby star 5200 that’s 620g and there’s even a couple inches behind the battery where I could use a much heavier battery even. Can’t use that one in the Yak though.
