That is so flippin' cool!!
So let me get this straight. You are flying FPV, using goggles the entire flight? That's incredible man. It's stressful enough flying this bird looking directly at it the whole time let alone putting goggles on and flying FPV.
Well done!

Okay my high rates on roll are 15mm. Guide’s suggested lists 11mm. Take it with a grain of salt because I have not maidened this one yet.

That works, it definitely has good enough pitch authority, but it's roll rate was around 120° per second. I'm use to around double that. LolLeave a comment:

I'll have to check for you. I'll get back to you when I can...I always struggled between too much and too little, lol.Leave a comment:

Aros, what are your servo setup travels for the ailerons on yours. At 50/50, the roll rate was way too slow for me. I was just wondering what you were set to.Leave a comment:

Mine is just sitting waiting for her maiden. As soon as there is a low wind, nice weather Saturday or Sunday I'm hittin' the beach with her early AM.Leave a comment:

I was thrilled with mine this past Saturday, I got it off the grass in right around 250 ft, and landed (with brakes) in about the same amount of space. I think my 80 needs more space actually on landing at least, but take off rotation is almost identical in distance. I do hold the brakes until the edf ramps up to full power to assist take offLeave a comment:

It's true that they are really nice flyers even if my heart is in my throat every time I fly her, lol. I have a hard time getting past knowing how heavy she is and the damage that could be done in the event of the worst case scenario. Most if not all of any issues I've had flying or landing her was due to my Dumb Thumbs (aka "nerves") flying in places with too many obstructions. I finally live by the ocean so I can fly her with unlimited runway (low tide) and space. The next great weather weekend I will be taking her out on her test flight. I'll get there nice and early so there's no crowds.

Sweet looking F-16 you got there.
I sold both of my HSD F-16's for now, have to say they are one of the best flying jets I have ever flown in my opinion. I was going to get the HSD F-86 to fly for a bit but they went out of stock right after I sold my F-16's so I'm waiting to see if the supplier of HSD jets is going get more EDF jets in stock, I did hear they were not, so we shall see.Leave a comment:
