  • LX F-4 Phantom Build Question

    Hi All,

Proud new owner of an LX F-4 in Jolly Roger livery - actually quite surprised at how nice it is!

I'm trying to figure out the deal with the wing spars. They seem to slide all the way into the wing (loosely), and there's no hole in the fuse for them.

What am I missing??? The instructions say nothing.

This is the only picture I found on the web, but as I mentioned, there's no holes in the fuse, and nothing to stop the spar from sliding all the way in...

Do I drill my own holes in the fuse foam? (That doesn't seem very strong unless I glue them in to the fuse...) Did they forget to do something at the factory? I can't find a picture anywhere of the side of the fuse without the wings in it...so I can't tell what is missing.

Please help - I want to maiden tomorrow!

    Thanks,
    Mark
