  • Looking For My Next Jet

    Guys,
I am looking to get an EDF. I prefer it to be built up or composite and run on 6/12S or 5/10S both 5000mah These are the batteries I already own. What kind of options do I have? Thanks in advance.

    Stuka,

There's a lot out there but don't let your existing stock be the only driver.. In 6S you have a wide range of Freewing 80mm and 90mm edf's. Not all can handle more than 8S. Depends on the ESC. 8S will require at least a 130 amp esc. I flew the F4 on 8S ( 6+2) 6000mah. A little more oomph than the stock 6S but not radically faster. Better vertical for sure but top end speed was only marginally faster, maybe 5-10%. I regularly fly the T-33, A4, L-39, F/A-18 90mm with a RCjetwerx 6S 6000. Looking for easy? The F-86 is a blast. I have a FMS 2000 in mine. Plenty fast. Fly it wit a 6S 4500 or 6S 5000. Cheers, Hawk
    Currently flying: Twin 80mm A-10, 80mm F5, 80mm A6, 70mm Yak-130, 70mm F-16v2,90mm Stinger 90, 70mmRC Lander F9F, Flightline F7F TigerCat, Phoenix 46 size Tucano, Flyzone L-39
    Out of Service: 80mm Mig-21,64mm F-35, 64mm F/A-18
    I Want: 80mm A-4, twin 80mm F4J Phantom

I didn't answer since he's not wanting a foam EDF... Not really the place to come to but I'm sure there is someone familiar with 12-14S composites...

Yes you are correct I’m looking for something that’s not foam. I didn’t think by the title of this forum It was foam only. If so let me know and I will close or move the topic. Thanks

Nope, you are fine. Most who post here a foam EDF pilots though...

Here might be better... Large EDF Jets - RC Groups
