Here's a mod I did to my Arrows F-15 Eagle but it can be applied to any aircraft.
Depending on the atmospheric conditions and load factors on the aircraft, the wings sometimes develop visible wingtip vortices. I tried to replicate it and it looks pretty good in action. It was a tough day for photographing. Gray plane, gray skies.
It's a simple mod using one Freewing weapons attachment set from the 90mm F-16. I simply cut it in half and glued the mount flush to the bottom of the wing tip. I then tied about 7 feet of 1/4" gift wrapping ribbon to the other part of the connector for each wingtip. All I had was silver so it wasn't as visible as I had hoped but I will try with white in the future. The benefit of the silver is that it isn't visible the whole flight which is similar to what happens with the full scale aircraft.
The impact on performance is that it makes the plane a little more draggy but nothing too bad.
