How does the A6 compare to the F-86 in terms of flight characteristics? Landing, taking off, etc ? I use 5000 (650 gram) lipos in the F-86, id like to use the same lipos if I bought the A6. I came up empty on a Google search comparing the two planes

As Ryan has indicated, a 5000 will not fit into the A6 and I concur.
The largest I've been able to use is 4000 which means basically you better have touched down on the 4 minute mark or before.

I fly the F-86 with 4000 mah batteries (3.5 min) 5000 mah batteries (4min). Had to modify the underside of the canopy for the 5000. 5000 is heavier and great as the last battery when it's windy/crosswinds.
A-6 4000 mah for 4 min. With drop tanks and bombs the battery needs to be almost all the way forward for Cg. Clean the A-6 battery needs to be rearward about 1 1/2" forward of the bulkhead. A-6 needs power on landing when loaded or with crosswinds. F-86: With no cross wind, I cut the power completely and glide in when I'm on short final .
You may be able to fit the 5000 in the A-6 with major trimming of the underside of the canopy area. I attach my satelite antenna there so I don't use the 5000 in the A-6. The A-6 is about 10 mph slower so 5000 may be a little heavy. The difference in my Turnugy 4000-5000 is about 100 g. My F-86 does 96 mph with either battery.
