One of the planes that really scared NATO during the cold war, until they actually got a close look at one, was the Mig-25. It didn't live up to it's fear factor, but set some speed and speed to altitude records and it is still a neat looking plane from the era.

With it's big wings it seems it could be translated into a good flying foam model. Additionally, like a lot of the Soviet planes of the time, it has big wheels, so a model of it should be able to handle most grass runways.

A true twin 70 or 80mm would be a good size and should be fast enough to satisfy most EDF fans.

What do you think Motion, a good project for Freewing?

I love a good MiG-25, that's certain. And I agree it would make a nice flying model for all the reasons you described. There doesn't seem much interest though, in either Russian subjects, the aircraft itself, or both.

Perhaps with the success of the Mig 21, ( I am one of the pre orders) a revisit of the Mig 25 as a possible model is in order;)
