"Grass runway" is a wide term. The Yak-130's wheels are small; being a 70mm jet it's the small size of jet which uses retracts. Off the top of my head the main wheels are about 2" tall or so. Accordingly, you'll want grass that covers no more than half of the wheel when its sitting on the ground, otherwise the resistance will prevent the wheel from rolling. Assuming you have level grass that meets this condition, with ~30 degrees of flap you'll rotate easily and quickly. The 70mm F-104 has the same power system and even smaller wheels. Here's a video showing Don Slusarczyk flying his F-104 off of grass. Doesn't have a problem.

Thanks Alpha for responding and video, yes my grass fiels is very short, just a little longer to rotate than my bigger jets.

This Yak-130 wants to fly. Rotation is short even on pavement. I think you'll be fine as long as the wheels aren't submerged and the runway isn't pocked.Live Q&A every Tuesday and Friday at 9pm EST on my Twitch Livestream

the landing gear is very stout! I only fly my jets on pavement, but landing the Yak on grass would be great. It's a quick plane and lands fast even with full flaps. I fly with 4000 mah 60c and 3300 mah 60c. Lighter battery would probably work best and with proper CG lands slower. You'll love it.
