  • My 1st EDF! (Feewing Rebel 70)

My 1st time on this forum, and the Freewing Rebel 70 is my 1st EDF. I have to say the Rebel was a great choice for a first edf, Once i dialed down the ailerons a bit the plane flies like a dream. Short flight times however! I had to reset my timer to 4 minutes cuz I pulsed the doggone thing this weekend. Fortunately i was just overhead when it quit & made i nice deadstick landing. Welcome, CZ Flyer! Good choice of aircraft you have there. Especially on a grass surface like that I imagine the Rebel feels right at home. On my paved runway it can sometimes hop if the flare is mistimed, but on grass or packed dirt it settles on its feet promptly with ease. And yes, welcome to the world of EDF.... in most cases set your timer to 4 minutes!

sorry 4 the delay! I have 2 admiral 3000mah's & 1 floureon 3300mah 14.8... plane flies great on all, a little heavier obviously on the 3300, but no major difference. I'll watch for updates! good luck. Ron

Thanks Ron! I'll set my timer to 4 minutes like you all said and Alpha, glad to hear it likes short grass. I was worried about that. :)

That looks great! Might be kind of neat to FPV that plane someday... Is it easy to see in the air Ron?

the plane? or video? The plane, speaking for myself is quick and easy to lose orientation if you get too far down range. As you can tell from the video that I keep it tight as I can around the field. As for the video, I never see it til I get home and import it to my pc.. Shot with a Mobius 1080p action cam mounted right above & behind my pilot figures head. turned out great!
