Anyone ever been ripped off by gooniacs? I am at a loss concerning my order after the second “shipping next week” response. It’s been several months. Completely fine with waiting on quality products, but this has been ongoing since March.

    thanks

Never ordered from him, but I will be careful in the future.
    Thanks for the heads up

I’ll be the first to say maybe I missed something, but after verifying all personal info for shipping.. added to the responses(all still in my email). I’ve been neglecting, and money lost.

He's slow. It's a shame. I like his product but it can take a while. Yours might be the new record though if it's been since March. I'd surmise that he doesn't embarass easily. Again, I really like his product.
I think people who focus on youtube as a means of something, I'm assuming ultimately making money while sharing their passion on a great platform to advertise their product, lose sight of this oppurtunity and basic understanding that a business provides the goods and or services and that should be the key part of the working goal. Not the money for nothing and chicks for free. As a project manager I know that if there's an aspect to my 'project' thst I don't have the time, the skill, the focus, the energy to do, I better delegate and find a person who does and factor that into the budget, be it price or volume. Goods and services is how the money is earned, not the expertise of how I got there. Intellectual property is knowing how to start the siphon into the bucket, but the water is what the grasshopper is there for. All just my Saturday morning armchair opinions.
But who knows, there are other afterburner kits on the market now. Again, I really like his kits! And now there are a couple of others that I like too.

I purchased an After-burner kit from gooniac33 some years back for my Freewing Phantom.

He was building and selling as fast as he could back then. I have not seen much from him lately; read: several months.

          Since March is puzzling.

I do believe he will come through for you, he's been an honest guy in my dealings with him.

I would stay in contact with him as much as possible.

          Best, LB

Hopefully something transpires with my order, but after going dark on email it’s hard to say. Maybe one day they will show up, but I’m not holding my breath.

We shall see how it plays out, but I haven’t heard back from him in some time.

Drew I just spoke to Ray and he thinks there is an address problem.
I got ahold of him on his Youtube site and he seems genuinely concerned to get this cleared up for you.
You guy just need to talk to clear it up.
Ive not heard anything bad about him or his products.
                  Best Regards

Well that’s good to hear, I have sent a few emails over the last month with no response. I also thought we had the address issue corrected a while ago, but nonetheless I will reach out again! I’d love to eat crow on this, and it be an issue on my end.

                    thank you much!

I have had nothing but satisfactory interaction with Ray.

I make my own "Do-It-Yourself" afterburners, but I have shared information and ideas with Ray (since I am not in competition) and he is always willing to share.

A reason I don't sell anything, and just give my designs and code away for free is that many years ago I tried to be in the flight sim business as well as my day job, and it really spoiled the hobby for me. I was the creator (1983) of the first R/C simulator, sold under the Dave Brown Products label. I sold a bunch and made lot of money, but decided that it was not who I wanted to be.

John, you are a man after my own heart. I appreciate you telling this story. It IS more fun to share intel and experiences than hold back. I, too, have been too close to a thing that it gets spoiled enough to walk away. So glad to have you here, Sir. Best, Steve

Just wanted to visit this one last time. Never received my order, zero contact, and no refund.

for what it’s worth my experience was obviously negative.
