  • Unable To Calibrate Throttle On Freewing 70mm EDF F-35 Lightning

    I have a Freewing 70 mm EDF F-35 Lighting V3 equipped with a Spektrum AR637T Receiver and a Spektrum 6S 3200mah G2 smart battery. I'm using a Spektrum NX8 transmitter.

With the transmitter powered on, I get no audible "beeps" when I plug the battery into the plane. About 15 seconds after I plug in the battery, the control surface servos cycle, and then normalize, and then everything works as it should.

I'm trying to calibrate the throttle by putting the throttle stick in the maximum position with the transmitter powered on, and then plugging in the plane battery and waiting for the initial beeps before moving the throttle stick to the minimum position. But since I'm getting no audible beeps, I'm unable to execute the throttle calibration process. I contacted Motion RC from whom I purchased the plane, but they could provide no solution for the problem.

Does anyone know why I'm not getting the audible beeps when I plug in the plane battery, and if so, how can I remedy the situation? Or is there some other process I can use that will allow me to calibrate the throttle?

I think it's your receiver. The AS3X receivers have to be perfectly still, no movement before it will arm. Once it does and does the zit-zit-zit it will do the two beeps for the throttle calibration.
