  • Missiles for my FW A-6 Intruder

Working on a couple AGM-88 HARM missiles for my Intruder. Wood dowel, balsa racks, magnets and plastic sheet. Next a Harpoon and ECM pod.

Not to be picky, but, if you are going for scale, you forgot the launchers, that go between the missiles and pylons.

Wintrsol- the HARMs have the separate launchers. They also contain the magnets. From pictures, it looked like the Harpoon was a direct mount to A-6 pylons.

Looking back at the photo of the HARM, I can see that there may be a launcher under it - the angle kind of obscures it. The Harpoon could directly mount to a pylon, if it has a HULAU inside; other Navy jets used this system for the early model Harpoon. When I got to the Harpoon integration on the Eagle, there was a new launcher design for the bigger pylons; the A-6 being an older platform probably used the HULAU design, though. Pretty good research on your part.

                    Your weapons upgrades look great!
Any chance you saved & could share the dimensions of your add-on weapons?

Weathering looks great as well, BTW!!

I mostly eye-balled the sizes from photos and related them to the size of the pylons. I can get the exact measurements.
