  • EDF slowdown

I lost my panther V2 this morning when for some reason the EDF slowed. Unfortunately just beyond the bounds of saving it. I had an issue on pre flight last week during which the same issue arose. Battery is good 88% , esc replaced and set up, fan is clear. Testing the remains; if I throttle off then on revs increase for a time. Question is what am I missing? Could it be receiver??

    Hello
Reading yours mishap, most probable cause is a bad LIPO , mostly one cell going down.
I fly only with telemetry and monitoring each cell and have set up a early warning in case one cell goes down.
You can check with a lipo checker if it display's real time what you're LIPO does under load, did this with a friend, he had same issue as you had he could not believe his eyes when I showed this to him.
    Regards Hans

ps checking a lipo with lipo checker tells nothing about health of lipo, only when you pull amps out of it

Thanks both of you, battery has been swapped out in a new panther so everything is now different but problem remains!!. The only remaining possibility is the transmitter but range check is fine, slowdown occurs at different points of the flight anyway and again today right in front of the flight line. I can throttle back then re apply and fan restarts.. I have deleted the model from transmitter memory and reprogrammed now so will try that next time. Any other suggestions gratefully received.
