Need new ESC

Hey everyone first post on here, I recently bought this MIG 17 from a guy on facebook marketplace. We hooked it up made sure everything works, he hadn’t flown it but he’s just drove it around his driveway. All of sudden it starts heavily smoking and the ESC is fried. Not surprised things from hobby king 😂. I still took it because all it needs is a new ESC. It takes a 100A Brushless with 5A UBEC ESC and I am not seeming to find the same one and I don’t really know which to get. Also the plane is rated for a 5000mAh 45-70C 6S battery. I have a 6000mAh 50c 6s battery and I’m wondering could I use it with the new ESC I purchase or will it fry it as well. If you guys know where I can purchase this ESC please drop the link,

Well old school stuff to at was in there so your in luck. My suggestion would be the Mirage 100amp ESC and the Mirage inrunner EDF. The one in the pic I believe is an older design outdated so again the new Mirage inrunner EDF would give tons more performance while being better on your batteries very efficient design. I replaced the old outdated EDF and ESC from my 80mm F14 with these and wow what a difference in power. Battery wise the 6k may be a bit much but I don’t own one of those so can’t say positively there. Here’s a pic of EDF and ESC I’d use good luck enjoy

The Mirage is a 80mm and the MiG is a 90mm so that won’t work. The ESC will but you should consider a 120A ESC as the stock one was just adequate and could be why yours smoked. Also the one he recommended has reverse which your original doesn’t. Reverse is a good thing as long as you know how to use it and have an extra channel. Last make sure your replacement has long enough wires, 4mm bullets on the motor side and the proper battery connector.

The 6000 is fine.
