New Guy Introduction

Hello everyone. Im the new kid on the block so I thought I would introduce myself before getting on here and just start posting stuff. I have been in the hobby for quite some time now, started out on Helis then planes and then quad FPV. Flying mostly 3D/XA. As Ive gotten older my reflexes aren't quite what they used to be so I have been doing a lot more IMAC and Pattern stuff. Which in my humble opinion is much more difficult to do then 3d. At-least doing it well that is. The reason Im here is pretty straight forward. Im looking for advice and maybe make a few friends.

I bought an E-Flite Viper Jet 90mm EDF a few weeks ago as my first endeavor into flying jets and it's been a pretty solid little jet to learn on. I feel like I have a pretty fair grip on the characteristics of flying a jet vs prop planes so Im thinking I may be ready to jump into something a bit more serious. Im not at the turbine in a composite aircraft stage yet as much as I want to. However, I do feel like getting away from the foamies and going with balsa/plywood is a good next step. This brings me to you guys looking for advice. The aircraft I have my eye on is the Viper Jet MKII 120mm EDF from Black Horse - Balsa Wood ARF. From what I have read it is a pretty forgiving jet to fly and learn on with good performance and solid construction. So my question to you all is, do you think Im on the right track here? Any and all advice or thoughts wold be greatly appreciated.
