Has anyone ever heard of a way to turn Safe on or off, by altitude ,for a Handicapped person versus a switch ?
    Thanks Gary

I think not, but why would you turn it off to begin with?

Maybe not AS3X but definitely would turn off SAFE.

To have ability to do maneuvers, loops ,etc. and practice them. If in trouble automatically on at say 50 or 75 ft. ???

At this time I do not believe there is any way to use telemetry feedback as a switch to control a feature (such as SAFE) on a Spektrum transmitter.

You might wish to investigate one of the open architecture systems, where, if you are smart enough, you can program them to do this.

If I really wanted to do this I'd probably use a stand alone gyro like a HobbyEagle whose mode input comes from an Arduino with altimeter input instead of from the radio.

If Arduino savvy you could program an Arduino to read a pressure sensor (altimeter) and provide the mode input to a stand alone gyro like a HobbyEagle A3S4, instead of getting it from the receiver.
