I had to remove the tape that covers the servo wire in the wing of My FW L-39. Is there a good substitute type of tape that can be used to cover the looms back up? Preferably something that could be painted.
You can get colored electrical tape. I used a red for sealing up the motor hatch for my EDF upgrade. The tape comes in 4 colors - red, blue, white, yellow. You can also get colore duct tape. I've also used that on some models. I tend to not paint. I get the tape from "Canadian Tire" here but I'm sure you've got some equivalent store where you are.
If you have the camo version, you may be out of luck. Also, did you save the old tape? I try to remove it and stick it to some wax paper, then reuse it. If it doesn't stick well, it's simple enough to smear a thin layer of FoamTac over the sticky side before putting it back on.
