Well so little talk about the Zeus 45 I can’t believe it so figured I would write up my review having over 20 flights on mine now.
I have never been a sport plane guy so the Zeus is my first Sport type. Have to say what a neutral flying jet, she flies fast slow but landings are the easiest to accomplish than any other jet I’ve flown to date. It has the most predictable glide angle of anything else quality of the plane for what you get in my humble opinion is second to none, even better is as my first turbine the ease of set up CG factory suggested rates etc are spot on. My only complaint for anyone who has one is to ditch the factory supplied cut off valve, we have experienced 4 valves start sucking air or in my case leaking fuel and taking in air which caused a flame out of course. The Zeus glided down with ease a little fast causing retract wing pockets to come loose. My only other small complaint is all of the FW stickers all over the plane it’s a small gripe but there heavily over done. The last weak area I’ve experienced is at the front canopy that takes a lot of landing forces would have been nice to see a plastic surround like more new FW planes have especially for one costing close to $900 minus the turbine of course. I’m running a XiCoy 45 which is crazy powerful with close to 200mph speeds trust me add some carbon to you aileron and elevator servo rods. Here’s a pic of mine which I repainted to a simpler scheme. Hope to hear some other people’s thoughts on the Zeus also.
