90 mm A10 Warthog, 1400mm or better wingspan

There are no larger size A10's that I know of on the market today. I think a decent size, high end version from Freewing would be awesome. I have the 65mm Freewing version which is a nice plane but it struggles to get off the grass on my field so I really have few places I can fly it. As I get older I prefer to fly larger planes anyway, easier to see and handle plus more room in the fuse for the electronics etc.
A well detailed deluxe plane with lights, nylon hinges, oleo struts, large battery capacity, 12 blade fans etc. would be in the higher price range but I would buy one immediately.

I've had the LX version since day 1 and love it. I'd kill for a larger version.

I own that one. Flies really well after you upgrade the retracts. It has it problems though and I know Freewing can do better. This ones nice but way overpriced and unproven. I can't find a flight video anywhere.

Thanks for your responses MikeT & dkalwishry Re the Banana Hobby plane the last video I saw of that one showed either the wing or the fuselage folding up in flight. Both not good! That combined with Banana Hobby's notorious reputation for service put me off that plane. I haven't seen it for sale anywhere else or on very many U tube videos. I have a feeling there is a sad story surrounding that plane.

Re that beautiful looking 81 inch Warthog Mike, it looks really nice but as you said, really expensive considering it seems to be an unproven airplane at this point. If there were many successful stories and videos available about that plane it would go along way towards credibility, but as you said, haven't seen anything yet.

It would be great if Freewing, who we know and trust, would come out with a larger version of their 65 mm Warthog with the extra features, 12 blade fans, oleo struts, light package ,nylon hinges, large battery compartment etc. for somewhere in the $450- $550 range. I think it would sell.

I bought mine from Toysonics.com (their site is temporarily down for maintenance). I believe it's branded an LX (1500mm, 70mm fans). Not real good quality but after replacing the retracts and putting in some decent EDFs and ESCs, it seems to fly OK and I get a kick out of it now and then. I still have it but it's not my favorite EDF.

I got the one from BH and finally just gave up on it. I replaced the gears and other modifications. I just tore it down and trashed the whole thing. I do not buy from these guys, a their models are way over-priced and mostly poor quality. Save your money.

Scaling this thing up to twin 90's would result in a wingspan of about 2000mm. It would need a lot of reinforcement to keep from snapping those wings off. The LX 1500mm constantly look like the wings are about to fold up.

A very nice subject indeed to have a model of. Haven't tried any of the A-10's yet maybe sometime soon as I have enough to deal with now with repairs and so forth.

I bought the Freewing A10 ,since someone claimed they got theirs with the 12 blade fan upgrade as stock..but mine didnt arrive that way..and paying the extra to upgrade it,just made that plane too expensive for its tiny size, so I sent it back...waiting, hoping for a bigger version.
