The main gear retraction and doors would be quite difficult to do though, not to mention the swiveling hardpoints.

F-111's are beautiful planes for sure. They had a very interesting ejection capsule on them as well. I built two 1/48 scale models way back in the day. The model had functional landing gear and a detachable ejection capsule. I can't remember if it was Revell or Monogram.

I like the Wikipedia description about how the air force would not consider a navy plane so converted old f111a models and retired it in 98 and relyed on navy and marine ex6b's and we wounder where all our tax dollars are being spent lol

so lets not talk raven lets talk F100 or T2 buckeye lol

Dang that's a bit pricey, no ? Eek ! What do you have in that F4? I hope if and when FW brings out a a twin 80 or single 90 Phantom that it's in the same price range as the A-10.

If I have to justify the cost, you can't appreciate this airplane. It's NOT a foamy. It has over $1100 worth of plane and components and electronics in it. Plus, it is no longer in production. Some F-4 geek would LOVE to have this!

+1 on that.....we do love foam planes, don't we ! I would certainly be a buyer for a Skyhawk. 90mm with grass landing gear.

The long thin nose gear would be extremely difficult for grass. The small wheels wouldn't exactly help either. Not saying it couldn't be done, but it would certainly be a challenge!
