The 64mm FMS F-15 and F-18 are some great planes!!

I haven't flown my 64mm jets in a while. So I made sure to get them out and put a couple packs through them on Friday. I upgraded mine to a 12 blade fan with 3500kv outrunner and balanced them myself. Battery is a 4s 30c 2200mah in both. They are some really fun hand launch planes! I use the gear on occasion too but not this time...

Nice.. Only one problem with what I am seeing.. Now I really want to get those lol... They seem quite fast for the size, but amazed at how nice they settle in and come down, especially the F-18. Nice flying sir, thanks :)

Gooniac, Do you ever fly the F-18 with landing gear, and if so, do you land on grass or asphalt?

I have the F-15, and I did a build and flight review on it that is around here somewhere, lol, not the scalest looking plane around, but boy do they fly GREAT!!! I was very impressed with the models stock speed and handling. I always take a lot of planes out to the field with me, and the size of them makes it nice and easy to fit in the crannies of the larger planes in the back of my Trailblazer!! If you really want a fun little plane, I highly recommend them!!! Happy landings guys!!

Thanks for the videos Gooniac. That second one is more like what my landings look like, but with that plane - even a little worse. Good to know better landings can be had. I'll keep working on it.

You're right about the F-15 Kloverzero. I have that plane dialed in and I love it! Its my favorite at this point. Although, I think some shrug at it because its only a 64mm. For a few at my field, it seems as if the attitude is "if its not 6 cells, it doesn't count". I just console myself with the fact that with that plane at least, my landings look better than a lot of theirs.

Another question Gooniac.... what radio do you use? I like the way the timer counts down as well as it calling out the deployment of landing gear and flaps. I'm sure I could research which radios do that... but asking you is quicker!

I use a DX9. All of the newer spektrum radios have the same interface but the DX9 and DX18 are the loudest.
