I love the early jets, and my favorite is the British Meteor. FW should show some love for the first operational Allied jet fighter in two sizes, 70mm to go up against their very popular ME262, and a super scale that can use either 80mm or 90mm (as the A10 offers). I'm partial to the F.4 but may accept the F.8! ;)

I agree. The Meteor is a lovely plane. The curves remind me a little bit of the Spitfire. Unfortunately I don't think the two of us are a big enough market to get one manufactured.;) -

Yes Jim Young's Meteor is beautiful and I've thought about getting the short kit he has available, but I have too many unbuilt kits now! I'd love to see FW make an epo of it, instant gratification!:)If you really want one a friend of mine has a laser cut kit.

The Meteor is a classic, but I agree that it most likely won't be a top seller :( However, I suspect that Scamp's onto something.....a 80mm to 90mm Hawker Hunter would be well received by many.Comment

I have become quite familiar with the Hawker Hunter playing War Thunder. It is one of the most capable and feared jets I have gone up against in the hands of a good pilot.
The good thing about the Hunter is that it would translate better to an RC model because of the simplicity of a single engine layout. Making it a good candidate for a 80mm- 90mm EDF.

That sure is a pretty plane. If somebody makes one I'd buy it instead of an me 262. That's one of my future planes, but I'd always rather have an American or British plane over a German or Russian plane.Comment
