  • Freewing Twin 80mm A-10 weapons

    Hello Motion,
As it presently stands, the weapons are only available as a $90 set.
While @ NEFI..... I happened to have the nappy/velcro grass at the side of the runway rip-off/break(mangled beyond repair) my sparrows/rack and pylon and the SATP(Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod) and pylon.
To me it is rather ridiculous to buy a complete set @ $90 a pop to replace a piece or two. :Scared:
:Ligthbulb: It was a unanimous agreement from the A-10 pilots and others in attendance that it would be awesome to be able to configure your own weapons load-out by being able purchase them separately.
I personally would like to load mine out with MK.83's and not have the same load-out as everyone else.
Would like Motion to consider selling the weapons as individual pieces as well as the pylons individually since three of the four spots on a side are different.
(Pylon 1 and 4 are different from 2 and 3 which are the same)
Tom/Mark.......PLEASE MAKE IT SO. ;)(PS......please hurry, got another airshow in early August I'm demonstrating at :))

    Best regards,
    Warbird Charlie

I'll add my vote to wishing we could buy them separately.

+1 on the loadout options. Looks like at least 3 of these will be demoing at the Festival of Giants Aug 10th - 13th. Would be nice for Motion to represent:)

          hi guys,

I had my 2 Sidewinders and 1 bomb arrive with horribly twisted fins. I haven't bothered to fix them, and instead when to Jet Hangar Hobbies to order 2 new 1000lb bombs. I also reached out to Chris Wolfe (RCGEEK) and asked him if he was interested in making additional weapons for the A-10. He is digging up some LGB's and is looking at making some CBU's for the A-10. Now that I know that the A-10 doesn't really care if it is loaded down or bare, I really want to hang a bunch of weapons off of it. I have sent him some detailed drawings and pictures and hope to hear back from him soon.

I also have a commercial 3D printer at work, and will look into 3d modelling over the winter months. I was looking at the Lantern Pod instead of the Sniper pod we have today. There are so many choices to pick from.

          I will keep you posted.

          Cheers

          Brent

You could add these for some action. The Adam bombs split open to simulate and explosion. Lots of fun and a real crowd pleaser.
            Don't just fly--WREAK HAVOC!!!

Well aware of these and use them on my WW2 warbirds which is where they belong.........not on an A-10
This thread was initiated as a request to Motion to get the weapons loadout designed for the A-10 as separate pieces, not looking for alternatives ;)
