I did mine upside down (just my preference) with the gear down but it is recommended to do it right side up with the gear down.

I also preferred to measure my CG with the jet inverted and the landing gear extended. I put two marks on the jet, one at 78mm (the manuals recommended CG) and 88mm. Anywhere in that range I feel safe. I am currently flying it at 84mm.
