  • Fall Overcast Flying

This time of year I try to take advantage of every day the temps are mild and the wind is calm, even if the ceiling is a bit low. In all honesty, the plane was always clearly visible from the ground, but I liked the video once I got home and checked it out.

We had a solid dark overcast last Sunday. Ceilings were around 300 ft. I flew the T-45 and the lights were amazing! I love that kind of flying day. Sometimes the clouds got even lower. It was still a great day.

Took out the all SILVER Mig 21 today. Gray hazy sky, almost silver. Perfect temperature and wind. Decided to fly the Mig, on landing approach, it disappeared for a few seconds. Just before that sinking feeling kicked in, OH!! there it is. Did a great landing and decided that another flight might not be a good idea.
