Do you have the stl files for the hs555? Thinking about doing the tail turret on mine. I have the other 2 done already.

Yes sir. That's my grandathers plane, Redwing. I've always thought the navy liberator was more elegant but I'm probably biased. I lengthened the fuselage 5", used the B24 horizontal stab as a base to stay close to the correct incidence, and fabbed up the vertical. Nose turret is a clear Christmas ornament and the blisters, while not correct, came from a PBY5. I also had to Frankenstein two canopies to get the upper turrets right. I didn't rotate the nacelles, but did delete the superchargers. I hope to build a better looking version later. This was proof of concept.

Welcome to Hobby Squawk; glad to have you onboard, Sir.
Is that your model?
If so, very nicely done.

Have you read the post by RRHandy directly BEFORE yours?Originally posted by ao2nelson1205 View PostDoes anyone know how I could get the stl files for the Flightline B-24?
And I quote:
"I have the files, the files I shared were the Spitfire. The file zipped is too big to put here 6.44 mb and the site only allows 1.91 mb, I can email if [any]one would like."

I have the files, the files I shared were the Spitfire. The file zipped is too big to put here 6.44 mb and the site only allows 1.91 mb, I can email if one would like. I tried to see if I could split up but that is out of my wheel house on computer knowledge.

Search my name and I did post the stl files that I have on this forum, if not here anymore I will share them.Originally posted by ao2nelson1205 View PostCan someone please tell me where I could find the stl files for the Flightline 2000mm B-24, thank you Jeff
P.S.I went and did a search and it was the Spitfire I uploaded, I have the files including the front gear doors but it's too big to put here, 6.44mb and they only allow 1.91.
I can email to those if they like.

I believe that is a waist gun pivot point.Originally posted by ChloePrince View Post
Sorry to bump an old post - but I couldn't find where this was answered.
Does anyone know what this 3D Printed part is for?
The only thing I can think of is that it goes maybe on top where the little antenna does - the one that looks like a wheel pant. ...no clue.

They definitely were. but the files were taken down at some point. They had STLs for the gun barrels, turret interiors, bomb sight, and instrument panel if I remember rightOriginally posted by Elbee View Post
AO2,
I've researched this somewhat and have no STL files accompanying the Plastic Parts offered by Motion RC for this aircraft.
It is possible these parts were not offered as STL files like many other detail parts for other models.
I have also searched my STL files for these parts and have found nothing for the B-24.
If you haven't already contacted Motion RC with regard to these parts, I would start there.
The plastic parts bag is not currently in stock, but you could click the Notify Me button and see how that goes.
You could also check out 3DP Repositories like Thingiverse, CGTrader, Cults 3D, and Prusa Printables for any designs related to this model.

Looking forward to getting this B-24. My dad worked on their gunnery systems in North Africa, before they sent him to learn the armament and electronics on the B-29. Then, he was sent to the pacific for LeMay’s final assault on Japan.
I sure wish someone would produce a scale B-29. We’ve got the 17 and 24! Why not the 29??? I’d sure like to to see a comeback of the Avro Lancaster and Grumman A-6, too…

Thanks.

Yes, been done before and I've repainted and modded every Freewing and Flightline model I have built.
Seriously, if you've not watched The RC Geek's build videos, those are great instruction "how to do...."
