Reinforcing retracts on FMS T-28 Trojan V4

I recently bought this plane and I am looking for ideas how to reinforce retracts? I normally avoid planes with retracts but I really like the T-28. I am not real familiar with them so some detailed instructions would be helpful.

Mine are fine stock. I broke the nose strut once from a really hard landing. But I would say you really don’t need to do any reinforcing.
