RE: A1 skyraider
Greetings
Airfield/Starmax used to make a 1600mm A-1 Skyraider in both gray and camo and sold it through Banana Hobby.
They are hard to come by these days 'in the box'. Occassionally you can find them in the classified sections of RC Forums and such however, they are usually built and cannot be shipped.
Perhaps a good internet search would turn one up still in the box.

RE: A1 skyraider
Banana Hobby indicated that they are going to get the 1600 A1 Skyraider back in inventory late this year. That info was on their discontinued product page. Not gonna hold my breath though. The only maker out there presently is ESM with a 1800mm(71") balsa/ply wing and fiberglass fuse. This size is actually the appropriate scale relationship with regard to the 55-57" FMS birds. For example - P51 had a 37' span whereas the A1 had 50'. I've wanted a foamie Skyraider in the appropriate scale but to no avail so far. I only wish Mark @ MRC could convince the powers to be at FMS that this warbird NEEDS to be part of their lineup and pick up where Starmax dropped the ball. As I continue to expand/build my fleet, I've got some time before I just say oh well and grab another "old school" balsa bird, just like I did with the OV10 Bronco. So all you warbird fanatics start chanting BIGA1-BIGA1-BIGA1 and just maybe Mark will hear us!!!!

RE: A1 skyraider
Hello Alpha,
I see where you mentioned on RCG ( http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2255128&page=19&highlight=ov+10#p ost29995428 ) about adding the Skyraider to your list of requests.
I am hoping that the requests where with FMS. Also hoping that the scale relation size is relative to the 1400 size warbirds which would put the Skyraider at 1800. To repeat my 11/27 size relationship analogy post: Example - P51 had a 37' span whereas the A1 had 50'.
I WANT this bird SOOO MUCH. A foamie of the Bronco(OV-10) and the Mohawk(OV-1) would be awesome also.
Hope you guys can make it so.
Regards,Warbird Charlie

RE: A1 skyraider
Be careful buying from BH. Their customer support is horrible. We have a BH complaint Facebook page on our club site. I purchased an A10 from them about two or three years ago and it is a display piece now. This is expensive display piece. Spend your money somewhere else. :exclamation:Originally posted by OV10Banana Hobby indicated that they are going to get the 1600 A1 Skyraider back in inventory late this year.
