  • Freewing P-51D Mustang Super Scale 1410mm (55") Wingspan - PNP

I have the Freewing P-51D Mustang Super Scale 1410mm (55") Wingspan - PNP and I am unable to get an answer about the CG.. I have the model with out the sound system and the insturctions do not refer to if you have sound or not. Does anyone know the CG for this plane with out the sound system? Do I need to add the extra battery even though I do not have the sound system? I thank you for your help.

When you buy a plane from MRC , if you go to that plane on the website and open the Support tab it gives the Manual pdf there . It says CG is 100-110 mm . The extra battery is for the sound I think .

I found the CG right on for me at about 105mm with the Admiral 3600 4s. This placed the battery about 3/8-1/2 inch from the front of the plane's battery tray area. That would be a good place to start for you.  Then depending on how "Nose Heavy" you prefer your plane, you can make minor adjustments.  Good luck.

Yes, the extra battery is for the sound card.  I have the one with the sound and love it.

You don't need to add the extra battery.  You've done like me, ordered the plane with out sound system. With winter setting in here in Iowa.  I've decided to upgrade my ESC. Going to start flying with 5s battery.  Installed the new ESC this weekend, plugged in my 5s :D .  Oh yeh, she's going to have a little more get up and go!!
