What do they look like when they're down?

Typically either a bent strut or the wheel hitting the wheel well.

Bent strut, just bend it straight.

Wheel hitting the well its probably the strut inserted too far into the retract "trunion"

Note that finding the set screw for adjusting the strut in the trunion can be "entertaining." Dynam hides the set screws in the brass pivot pin. (and often forgets to even put in the set screws which would lead to your issue on the first landing)

You have to dismount the retracts from the wings to access the set screws (or to put some in)
If you use loctite on the set screws be VERY careful or it will be all hell to change struts if needed. Blue locktite and do not get it on the strut. (and don't get it on the plastic because it makes the plastic brittle and weak)

Guy had one of these at our club. Nothing but problems with the landing gear. Real piece of junk. Had to swap out the gear with another plane he had. The ESC went bad after 2 flights, too. Return it if you can.

About 8 Dynam planes with retracts. Had issues with one (other than the set screws... they leave those out all the time, should be 2, usually just 1 installed in each retract)

If you fail to check for the set screws and the strut goes in too far it can jam the retract and burn it out (or burn up the ESC)
