I just got my Beaver from MRC and assembled it. There is no programming manual for the ESC, just an explanation of the beeps when the battery is connected.
I noticed that the motor did not start rotating until the throttle lever on the transmitter was pushed forward about 3 clicks. This seemed a little slow for motor response.
I figured the ESC needed programming to "see" the full throw of the throttle lever on the transmitter. So, I did the usual programming for the ESC response to the throttle movement that we see in FMS ESC programming manuals:
1. Turn on the Transmitter and set the throttle to all the way forward (full throttle).
2. Make sure NO propeller is attached.
3. Connect the battery.
4. You will hear 2 Beeps. Then pull the throttle all the way back (zero throttle).
5. You will then hear the usual beeps for when the battery is connected with the throttle at zero.
This worked. Now the motor is clearly responsive to the Tx throttle lever. I think this will make a big difference in flight control.
