I can remember seeing that show in the theaters at least three times. Have the movie on my shelf and love it to this day.  I often wondered what happened to those planes.  I know that the Comemerative Air Force has the only He 111 left as the Spanish junked out the rest when they deactivated them, what a crime! But the Me 109's (Buchons) were a mystery.  I know that two of them ended up in Germany and you can see them fly in the movie Memphis Belle.  I had an article on them at one time.  Also, I remember reading that one was taken and reconverted back to a DB 601 engine, thus becoming on Me 109E as we know them.  Now I know, can you imagine the thrill of walking into that hangar?  All those airplanes !!
Like going to Bill's place eh Brian!!!!
